Confluent has a wonderful tool for schemas, called Schema Registry and it is a part of its entire Echo system for Kafka.. Schema Registry uses RESTful interface to interact with. The API allows you to define new “subjects” ( a data-model), versions on that subject ,retrieve and modify subjects and have your code access those schemas via an API (which wraps Schema Registry is a service for storing a versioned history of schemas used in Kafka.
